ACA Level 2 Coastal Kayak Day Trip Leader Training

A workshop specifically to provide skills for leading outfitted and guided  kayaking day trips. Participants will focus on group management, float plans, and trip planning in this training.  The next step would be to take the Coastal Day Trip Leader Assessment. Which leads to kayak certifications: Offered May 28, 2025.

Trip Leader Training Offered: May 29-30, 2025

Cost: $250.00 per person

Instructor Certification Exam (ICE)

During the ICE, you will be tested on your knowledge and skill proficiency of paddle strokes, rescues, bracing, rolling, towing, navigation, weather awareness, and boat control in high winds/waves. Certification level is based on ICE performance. Upon completion of this exam you gain kayak certifications.
