Board of Directors Development Training
This program encompasses a needs assessment followed by three stages of board development.
This stage of board development focuses on connections, unification, and each individuals’ passion for service. During this session, board members will inventory resources to align members and begin to address history, legacy, and ground rules of function.
Duration: 3 hours
Stage 2 – Board Legacy
This stage of board development focuses on resolving issues and differences. Board member trust, respect, and team unity will be addressed, and conflict resolution skills will be taught.
Duration: 4 hours
Stage 3 – Board Function & Dysfunction
This stage of development will identify successful strategies of function and the five dysfunctions of a collaborative team. Critical dialogue skills will be taught to provide effective decision making, action planning, and change management. Additional topics may include: meeting management, parliamentary procedure, and time management.
