Kayak – Cave & Dunes Tour
Cave & Dunes Kayak Tour
at Whitefish Dunes State Park
Whitefish Dunes State Park – 10 miles north of Sturgeon Bay (3275 Clark Lake Road Sturgeon Bay, WI 54235). Explore Cave Point on beautiful Lake Michigan! Tours meet and launch from the beach in Whitefish Dunes State Park, depending on local wind and waves. No experience is necessary and ACA-trained instruction is provided but please keep in mind this can be an adventurous paddle since it is on Lake Michigan. Weather permitting, in addition to seeing the unique sea caves, dunes and the Niagara Escarpment, we also take you to the Australasia shipwreck which is visible on calm and sunny day. Stop by the Nature Center before or after your tour and learn about the ever-changing beach and history of the park. Please note due to high water levels we can only enter the caves on flat/calm days.
Please keep in mind that this is an adventurous paddle on Lake Michigan and not suitable for children under 8 years old. A less wavy, more serene, but still exciting alternative would be our Mink River Kayak Tour at Rowleys Bay! Also suitable would be the Sunset Kayak Tour at the Egg Harbor Village Beach, perfect for all ages.
