While we love telling you about our tours, there’s nothing quite like hearing about them from the people who experienced them firsthand.
This summer, our guests have shared stories about beautiful scenery, first-time adventures, family fun, and, most importantly, the guides who helped make their experiences memorable.
Adventures Made for the Whole Family
One of the best things about adventure activities is that they can bring people of all ages together. That was certainly the case for one family of nine who took on our ropes course this summer.
With kids ranging from 7 to 20 years old, finding an activity that everyone would enjoy wasn’t necessarily easy, but the whole family had a fabulous time.

The family also shared how our guides, Skylar and Jake, helped everyone feel comfortable and confident throughout the experience. When the younger members of the group were nervous about getting started, Skylar took the time to walk them through the process and reassure them that they were safe.
“She was patient, helpful, and genuinely wanted them to feel at ease.”
From learning everyone’s names to cheering them on throughout the course, the guides made the experience feel personal from beginning to end. And even when a summer storm threatened to change their plans, our team worked with the family to find a new time that worked for their schedule.

Cave Point Kayaking Continues to Be a Favorite
It’s no surprise that our Cave Point kayaking adventures have been a favorite this summer. Exploring the Lake Michigan shoreline by kayak gives guests the chance to experience Door County’s famous caves, cliffs, and clear blue water from a completely different perspective.
For Ross R., a July kayaking trip with a group of eight family members turned into a memory they hope to carry with them for years.
“Everyone had a great time and it will be a fond memory for us years to come.”
Ross also gave a shoutout to guide Skyler, who helped the group feel prepared before heading onto the water.
“Our guide was Skyler who did a wonderful job preparing us for our adventure by informing us on how to operate our water vessels and kept us safe and wrangled on our journey.”

Beautiful Scenery, Great Guides, and a Memorable Experience
Our guests haven’t just been talking about the destinations, they’ve also been highlighting our amazing guides in their guest reviews.
One guest who joined a kayaking tour with Izzy appreciated the pace of the tour and the opportunity to learn more about the area along the way.
“She kept the group at a good pace, not too fast but kept us moving along. She shared knowledge of the area.”
They also appreciated the convenience of the experience, noting that the two-hour tour was the perfect amount of time and that guests could head directly onto the water from the beach.

And when conditions on the water aren’t quite perfect, our guides are there to help guests navigate them. Erin Ziegler shared her experience kayaking in slightly rougher conditions and praised guide Emma for helping the group feel confident.

A Favorite for First-Time Kayakers
We’ve also heard from plenty of guests who were experiencing kayaking for the first time, or bringing along family members who were new to the activity. One Google reviewer brought a group of eight, including four adults and four kids, and had a fantastic experience with Emily.
“She taught us the basics, learned all our names, and had us in action within minutes.”
After getting everyone comfortable in their kayaks, the group was able to enjoy the caves, the calm water, and the scenery together.
